The Demi Moore 911 call was released Friday morning, full of editing ‘bleeps” but also providing a look into the seriousness of the incident that led to the actress’ hospitalization Monday night.

After initial confusion about whether it was Beverly Hills’ or Los Angeles’ duty to respond to that address, plus some chaotic behavior on the callers’ end, the dispatcher began to gather information about the situation.

“She smoked something –- it’s not marijuana, but it’s similar to, it’s similar to incense -– and she appears to be having convulsions of some sort,” a female voice says on the 911 tape.

The herb salvia, which produces psychedelic effects and hit mainstream headlines after being bong-smoked by Miley Cyrus, can be sold in incense form. Though any specifics are unconfirmed, Moore reportedly was later treated at the hospital for use of nitrous oxide inhalants, or “whip-its.”

Moore was described by a woman on the call as “semiconscious, barely” and “convulsing,” and then “burning up.” A few minutes later, before paramedics arrived, Moore had stopped convulsing, was breathing normally and had calmed down quite a bit, a male on the scene told the dispatcher.

Specifics about substances involved and other medical details were edited out of the tape on advice from the city attorney’s office, L.A. Now reported.

When the dispatcher asked what substances might have been taken, a woman explained, “She’s been having some other issues lately with some other stuff, so I don’t know what she’s been taking and not telling us,” adding later, ‘There’s been some stuff recently that we’re all just finding out.’

Moore recently decided to file for divorce from Ashton Kutcher, her husband of six years, after alleged infidelity on his part. Her dramatic thinness has been the subject of recent speculation, as have unconfirmed reports that the “Margin Call” actress was abusing prescription medication.

On Tuesday, Moore’s rep said in a statement, ‘Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health.’
