Now that Adele has joined the flipping-off party, the entertainment arena needs only a few more high-profile birds to have a lovely little obscene flock.

Adele, 23, extended her middle finger during the Brit Awards on Tuesday night after producers cut off her album of the year acceptance speech, her second of the night.

“I’m sorry if I offended anyone but it was the suits that offended me,” Adele said. “Thank you all very much and thanks to my fans. I don’t want them to think I was swearing at them.’

She also joked, upon accepting the female artist award while towering over the diminutive Kylie Minogue, ‘I feel like a drag queen next to you.’

The multiple Grammy winner is, of course, known for her affinity for the ol’ cuss words, so much so that when she was recently on vocal rest, she had to find a text-to-speech app that allowed dirty words, so she could get her points across.

The ITV ‘suits’ jumped on the so-sorry bandwagon as well, saying, “We regret this happened and we send deepest apologies to Adele that her big moment was cut short tonight due to the live show over-running.’

Rapper M.I.A. also flipped the bird recently, during Madonna’s Super Bowl halftime performance this month, prompting NBC to apologize like mad for not being fast enough on the blur button. ‘Our system was late to obscure the inappropriate gesture and we apologize to our viewers,’ the network said.

M.I.A.’s camp, apparently, blamed ‘a case of adrenaline.’
