Lisa Robin Kelly, the ‘That ‘70s Show’ actress who was arrested Saturday on suspicion of felony spousal abuse, is out on $50,000 bail and speaking out about her fall from sitcom grace.
She’s also speaking about that mug shot, which has her mortified.
‘My poor mother has to look at that picture of me,’ she told ABC News, voice cracking. ‘That doesn’t look like me. That’s not me.’ She said she was not using or abusing any substances at the time the pic was snapped.
Kelly was arrested Saturday after her ex-boyfriend, John Michas, went to police with a complaint that she’d assaulted him. Kelly, 42, alleged to TMZ that Michas had been the one roughing her up but that she decided it wasn’t worth her time to file a complaint. The actress denied the accusation, calling it ‘all a bunch of made-up stuff.’
What’s not made up, she says, is that a drinking problem sparked by a miscarriage led to her 2003 ouster from ‘That ‘70s Show,’ where she played hottie Laurie Forman alongside the likes of Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Topher Grace and Wilmer Valderrama.
‘I had lost a baby,’ Kelly said. ‘As a result of that I lost everything and I was abusing alcohol.’
The actress, who was arrested for DUI in 2010, told ABC News she’s been sober for about three months.
