Asking prices in greater LA held steady over the past week, according to Housing Tracker’s analysis of MLS listings, which we monitor here every week. Housing Tracker shows median asking price holding at $540,000 this week. Inventory jumped again, with another 517 homes listed, and now 40,458 on the market.

More on the numbers: The $540,000 median asking price represents a drop of 6.7% over the past year, and 0.9% over the past month. Inventory of 40,458 represents a gain of 7.9% in the past month and 23.3% over the past year.
