600-home auction coming

We don’t necessarily want to get into the habit of posting on every home auction on the calendar, but this one -- submitted as a comment by Cal -- is worth mentioning. Six hundred homes to be auctioned between Nov. 7 and Nov. 11 -- that’s a lot.

It’s actually five separate auctions, to be held in Anaheim, Ontario, Temecula, Riverside and Riverside.

Once more, for what it’s worth: After all the hype, it’s not clear there are any terrific bargains at these auctions, which is a sign that the auctions have become an efficient way to move properties: the prices being paid are roughly in line with the rest of the market.
