Nissan 370Z: A possible sneak peek

The real replacement for the well-rendered and insanely popular Nissan 350Z coupe isn’t expected to be seen until the next Los Angeles Auto Show later this year. But cyberspace has been buzzing since a Japanese car magazine recently ran this image of what might be the 2009 Nissan 370Z.

Note the vent behind the front wheel and the aftermarket-style front lip below the grille, which have the effect of complicating the original car’s lines. And what the heck is happening with those headlights? Maybe this is just some artist’s impression.

What’s more certain is that the car will be powered by a 3.7-liter version of Nissan’s highly rated V-6 engine, as found in the new Infiniti G37. And even if the looks have been messed with, it should still sound pretty good.
