This piece of four-wheeled wonderment is the so-new-it-isn’t-even-out-yet Aston Martin One-77, a comely mix of carbon fiber chassis and handcrafted aluminum body, topped off with a hand-built 7.0-liter V-12.

Educated guesses put the zero-to-60 mph time at 3.5 seconds and a top speed in excess of 200 mph. Only 77 examples will be made, and customers have the opportunity to appoint their cars as they wish.

This is Aston Martin’s new flagship model, the first all-new product since the company was sold by Ford to a consortium of investors. Rumors abound of a new collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, so the One-77 might also be the fruit of that.

The official price hasn’t been announced yet (that will probably happen at the Paris Motor Show, which takes place in early October), but sources put it at 1 million pounds sterling. Isn’t it good to know that someone’s economy is back on track?
