Motorsport grows a conscience. This pleasant young lady is Tamara Ecclestone, model, TV presenter and the daughter of Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone (one of the top 10 richest men in Britain). And the reason why she’s draped in naught but a checkered flag is to bring attention to the fur trade.

It’s worked hasn’t it? This photograph is from an advertising campaign in Europe run by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) with the tagline: “Going fur-free is the winning formula.” They obviously didn’t kill too many poor, defenseless brain cells thinking up that one. “I just think it’s terrible to harm living animals all in the name of vanity,” says Ms. Ecclestone.

What’s really amazing is that Mr. Ecclestone, with the greatest respect, is hardly endowed with leading-man looks. Or height. Tamara probably gets her looks from her mother.
