More Earth Day freebies

Here are some more Earth Day freebies and specials:

In celebration of Earth Day -- Wednesday, April 22 -- Home Depot stores are giving away 1 million Ecosmart compact fluorescent light bulbs beginning on April 19. You don’t have to buy anything to get a CFL, but customers are limited to one each.

Home Depot also is offering buy-one-get-one-free deals on Bonnie Veggie and Herb Peat pots (limit six per customer), and on assorted seed packs (while supplies last). You’ll also get 10% off on some Energy Star appliance purchases, plus free delivery and haul away of the old appliance.

At Disney stores, if you bring in three plastic bottles (presumably empty) you’ll get a free, but unspecified, gift.

And as we told you earlier this week, Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market plans to give away canvas bags to customers on Earth Day when they spend $10 or more.
