Hot Property: ‘Gossip Girl’ producer’s 1928 house is ready for prohibition

The Los Feliz home of ‘Gossip Girl’ producer Josh Schwartz, which just came on the market at $2,395,000, has an interesting feature: One of the library’s floor-to-ceiling bookshelves slides aside to reveal bootlegger’s storage racks.
The 1928 Spanish-style home, gated with a two-story foyer and a hand-carved vaulted ceiling in the living room, has five bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms in 3,468 square feet.
Schwartz, 32, known for his satirical depictions of the wealthy, would seem to know of what he writes. He bought the home in 2004 for $2 million.
