A beautiful Sunday in June, and all is right with the world. That’s the feeling you get walking in to the Greenwich Concours D’Elegance in Greenwich, Conn. The event covers two days -- Saturday for the domestic classics and Sunday for the foreign brands. A total of 177 cars were exhibited Sunday, including one that defied categorization, the famous ‘flying car,’ Terrafugia Transition, a roadable aircraft or a flying car. The craft is 1,300 lbs, can do up to 150 mph with a 460-mile range. And on the road it will get 30 mpg.

Circles of cars are grouped by country of origin. The well-known brands like Mercedes-Benz are next to a Bitter. The cars are mostly perfect as you would expect, buffed and shined to perfection, sitting in a park next to Long Island Sound in one of the wealthiest communities in the U.S.

The Bonhams auction house was selling 89 cars this year, including Clark Gable’s 1933 Auburn Boattail Speedster, and the Rolls-Royce used in the 1973 film “The Great Gatsby” with Robert Redford.

This is the show’s 14th consecutive year.
