E.T. Horn Group, a distributor of specialty chemicals such as those used to make cereal, has agreed to expand its La Mirada headquarters campus by 80,000 square feet.

The company agreed to lease 125,000 square feet in an industrial building at 16050 Canary Ave., real estate brokerage NAI Capital reported Tuesday. It will move early next year from a nearby building that it has occupied since 1969.

Financial terms of the 15-year agreement were not disclosed. The owners are asking 48 cents per square foot per month, according to real estate data provider CoStar Group, but E.T. Horn received “substantial” concessions from landlord Mirada Enterprises, broker Doug Wubbena of NAI Capital said.

E.T. Horn occupies about 170,000 square feet in multiple buildings in La Mirada, not including the newly leased space, Wubbena said.

E.T. Horn supplies raw materials and specialty ingredients such as cornstarch, beta carotene and riboflavin for makers of processed food, dietary supplements and other products. It also distributes nonedible materials such as adhesives, lubricants and fragrances.
