Michelle Obama takes a walk down ‘Sesame Street’

Big Bird is throwing a birthday party. And he is inviting some very special guests. We don’t mean Oscar the Grouch. We mean Michelle Obama, the first lady, who plans to help celebrate the 40th anniversary of the children’s television program on Tuesday with an appearance on the set.

Advance word from the show is that Big Bird observes that both he and the first lady are quite tall.

This, as People magazine notes, is the first lady whose nutritional advice is decidedly at odds with Cookie Monster -- she encourages viewers to plant and water their gardens and partake of the tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and lettuce. i.e., salad. Read more at the Swamp.
