As expected, the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant was named to the 2008 U.S. Olympic basketball team this morning.

Joining him are the Denver Nuggests’ Carmelo Anthony; Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams of the Utah Jazz; the Toronto Raptors’ Chris Bosh; Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic; the Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James; Jason Kidd of the Dallas Mavericks; Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets; the Detroit Pistons’ Tayshaun Prince; Michael Redd of the Milwaukee Bucks; and Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat.
