Lydia Lassila of Australia wins gold in women’s aerials

Australia’s Lydia Lassila won the gold medal in women’s aerials at the Vancouver Winter Olympics on Wednesday.

Lassila scored 214.74 points. China’s Li Nina won silver with 207.23, and China’s Guo Xinxin won bronze with 205.22 points.

Three Americans, Lacy Schnoor, Ashley Caldwell and Emily Cook, finished ninth, 10th and 11th, respectively.
