What are L.A. Times columnists Jonah Goldberg and Jonathan Chait saying tonight? Let’s listen first to Chait:

The intuitive thing to think about Election Day cheating is that each side does it equally, and only a partisan would believe that the other party cheats more. Jonah Goldberg suggests as much here, and normally I tend to agree with him. But the accounts of Republican robo-calls designed to fool voters into thinking they’re being harassed by Democrats--something that’s being directed by the national GOP--seem unusually bad.

And now Goldberg:

Why do they keep talking about repealing Bush’s tax cuts? It’s been years. They want to raise taxes. Why not just say Democrats want to repeal the Reagan tax cuts or the JFK tax cuts? If you want to raise taxes you want to raise taxes. Look for Jonah on The Corner, and Jonathan at The Plank.
