Raoul Lowery Contreras’ ’Obama’s delusional foreign policy’ draws a late hit from the ether:

Your delusional. He has specifically said he will NOT meet with Hamas. I guess you missed that. Unfortunately I am stuck at home at the present and see endless cable news programs. He has said he will NOT MEET with Hamas unless they recognize Israel, etc. several times. You really should correct this.

Robert Greene’s Opinion Daily ‘The two Henry T. Nicholases’ enthralled some and infuriated others, but a reader in San Diego saw it as a call for the Golden State to bring in higher-quality sex scandals:

A lot of men seem incapable of handling women, power, and money. It’s about time that we have a West coast Elliot Spitzer; Kobe was getting lonesome. Regards, Roger NewellSan Diego, CA

Kurt Christiansen’s Blowback ‘Start small on climate change’ brought in a response arguing that, well... we’re not really sure. But we always respect clergy members:

This is written in response to Kurt Christiansen’s “response to climate change”.. Try NONE Kurt, but that might put you out of a job.. eh? Here’s a little appetizer. The Contrarian: Father O’Malley With 70% of our oil dependency is transportation, feel good legislation, tax incentives, tax subsidies are wasting our resources in the Don Quixote quest to affect world wide climate change... This concern is taking our eyes off the ball of getting off of foreign oil quickly. Since 1970, when oil was first used as a weapon against us, Hydrogen run Internal Combustion Engines have been available. It wasn’t the technology, it was the will that kept us from it. .Oil was still ‘cheap’ and we and our leaders took the easy way out... now they promise 20-50 more years of ‘transistion’ to everything Electrical the supposed ‘clean’ energy.. but with Hlydrogen Fuel Cells and with Electrical Battery driven CARS, we only address small portions of the problem and we introduce still newer problems with the lack of disposal (landfill nightmares from very toxic substances used for electricity), lack of infrastructure to support the new technology (we currently have the largest Automotive Aftermarket in the world to support Hydrogen fueled ICEngines) and Electric Autos aren’t backward compatible. Burning anything is seen as ‘dangerous to the planet and our health’, but facts dictate otherwise.. Contact your representatives today and let them know, NO MORE CO2 mandates. No more Government intrusion into our lives (mandatory mercury filled light bulbs), no more bio fuels, (increase Ozone, huge ‘carbon footprint to produce’ and we are burning food when the world is still starving.. visit www.fatheromalley.com for some more straight talk and workable ideas to deal with the very real issues of tax oppression (punishing success by taxing it), foreign oil dependence (think transporation not electrical plants) and enforcing our current federal laws, (Title 9) and securing our borders. May God Bless, Father O’Malley Kindest Regards

Proposition 13’s 30th birthday turned out to be cause for a re-examination...of the Times’ opposition to Proposition 13. We don’t know whether it was our editorial, Bill Stall’s Op-Ed or the doom-and-gloom forecasts of the ed board back in Old ’78, but it was all too much for one cancellation-threatening reader:

KEEP YOUR GODDAMN GREEDY PAWS OFF PROP 13, YOU INSUFFERABLE BLOOD-SUCKING BASTARDS, OR I’LL CANCEL MY SUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lorrainetrippett
