In Tuesday’s letters, still more on Sarah Palin and her ‘first dude,’ husband Todd.

Readers also sound off on The Times’ Saturday story about Walter Reed -- the LAUSD middle school, that is. Former PTA president Bruce Neckels, of Studio City, is irked that McCain used an image of the school as a backdrop for his Republican National Convention acceptance speech -- even if it was an honest mistake.

[This] was a shallow attempt at damage control after some inept researcher mistook the school for Walter Reed Army Medical Center... Nobody on the Republican Convention team caught the error -- not even McCain, who should have some idea what the building looks like. They all deserve a large, bold ‘F’ on their collective homework papers.

Robert Price, of Walnut, who doesn’t see what all the fuss is about, writes:

The folks who complained about the photo of the school being shown during the Republican convention are oversensitive. They should be elated that their school is getting publicity. ...Those complainers need to learn to lighten up.

Bad apples in Bogota and the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac bailout, too.
