‘It was always predictable that Democrats would lose seats in this year’s midterm election,” says Op-Ed columnist Doyle McManus in Wednesday’s podcast (1 minute, 19 seconds). “That’s what happens historically in the second year of a new presidency, certainly in a year when the economy is in such terrible shape as our economy is today. But still this was a very good election day for Republicans.’
