Anyone hoping for an in-depth exchange in tonight’s debate may be disappointed. Candidates will have 90 seconds to answer a question. Their opponent will then have 60 seconds to respond. Each will be allowed a 30-second rebuttal to their opponent’s response. Of course, in a race that has been dominated by 30-second advertisements, 90 seconds may seem like an eternity.
