On the campaign trail: Jerry Brown tours college campuses while Meg Whitman rides the bus

While Meg Whitman continues her bus tour through California, meeting with small groups of voters, Jerry Brown is touring the state’s college campuses, rallying thousands of students and other Democratic enthusiasts.

Brown was at UCLA with former President Clinton on Friday. Clinton also headlined an event with Brown at San Jose State University on Sunday.

On Thursday, Brown will be at San Diego State with some local Democratic leaders. On Friday, he will be at USC with President Obama.

Whitman, meanwhile, is on a Guy Fieri-like tour of diners and dives around the state. It began in Los Angeles at Felipe’s. She then stopped in for a chili dog in Bakersfield and at an In-N-Out Burger in Sacramento before hitting more diners in Chico and Redding. Oakland, Napa and Sonoma are also on the Whitman itinerary.
