Christmas is coming early for Kanye West fans.
The rapper, known for treating fans to goodies via his blog, has taken to Twitter (he’s a newbie and only follows Justin Bieber), promising to release a new song ‘every weekend until Xmas.’
He tweeted: ‘I’m calling it good Fridays. Yall know every Friday yall gone have a new joint from our family. We look at the game completely different now.’
West said the new tracks could be his own or ‘it may be a new Jay song, etc.’
Fans have already benefited from his generosity. He recently premiered ‘See Me Now,’ a collaboration with Beyoncé and Charlie Wilson, and released the remix of “Power,” featuring Jay-Z and Swizz Beatz, on Friday (his official link was taken down and cited as a copyright violation).
‘It’s about the fans. No more holding back,’ he wrote. ‘That’s why I dropped ‘See Me Now’... It wasn’t about me it was about the Summer the BBQs etc.’
The rapper is slated to perform at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 12, the same platform on which he last year unleashed his infamous rant during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech.
West’s fifth album, which may or may not be titled “Dark Twisted Fantasy,” hits stores Nov. 19. He also tweeted that he’s “working on the Movie... Unicorns and Rza beats yo.”
Unicorns? Really?
