Oh, Dunbar. He was presented first as the fratty hunk of the house in Sydney, admitting in this episode that when at school at Ole Miss he was the type who would fall in love every day with random girls he saw on the way to class. (He reveals this despite his frequent mentions of his girlfriend back home that he’s soooo devoted to.)

So how did he manage to alienate two of his gal pal roommates already?

It was evident from the start that Parisa and KellyAnne were attracted to Dunbar. In what can only be written off as a jet-lag-induced haze, Parisa’s rather awkward flirtation was spurned by Dunbar, and she, in response, wrote a rather naive letter to him to explain her feelings. Dunbar read the letter, proceeded to mock Parisa behind her back (hey, kiddo, there are cameras everywhere here) and didn’t acknowledge that she even vented her feelings. Not the way to remain on the good side of a girl who doesn’t seem to have much relationship experience.

KellyAnne, on the other hand, was on full flirt mode from the beginning, but then proceeded to get weirded out when Dunbar started taking her aggressive friendliness for granted. Like he was entitled to her cuddling and cooing! As if!

After a heart-to-heart on the harbor, KellyAnne and Parisa admitted they were fed up with Dunbar. There’s hard to get, and then <i> hard to get, </i> apparently. In any case, it should be real interesting when Dunbar’s girlfriend comes to visit the gang in Sydney. Meow.
