WGA says it still may picket Golden Globes

The Writers Guild of America said it believed that for all of NBC’s attempts to portray its Golden Globes coverage as a news event, it is in fact still the work of Dick Clark Productions, which is a struck company.

‘Our information is that Dick Clark Productions is producing the Golden Globes awards show,’ said Jeff Hermanson, assistant executive director of the Writers Guild of America, West. ‘We are trying to see what the story is, and right now the story is unclear.’

If the WGA remains convinced that NBC News is just a cover for Dick Clark, Hermanson said, ‘There will be a large, large picket line.’

UPDATE: A spokesman for Dick Clark Productions noted that the company is not putting together the NBC News press conference. “We have absolutely no involvement,” Terry Fahn said
