Celebrity Ghost Stories: In the premiere of this new series, Joan Rivers seeks help from a voodoo priestess and Teri Polo recalls a horrifying encounter when she was an 8-year-old (7 p.m. Biography).

SuperFetch: In the season premiere, a woman tries to train her dog to police the bathroom and make sure the toilet seat is down (8 p.m. Animal Planet).

America’s Most Wanted: America Fights Back: Authorities search for a drug trafficker known as the “King of Pot” in this new episode (9 p.m. Fox).

Dogs 101: This new series opens with facts and trivia about Dalmatians, Siberian huskies, German shorthaired pointers, Pomeranians and Havenese (9 p.m. Animal Planet). A second new episode at 10 p.m. introduces viewers to “ugly dogs.”

The Relic Hunter With Ian Grant: This new series encounters a voodoo culture full of fetish markets, animal sacrifices, countless deities and bizarre rituals in the West African countries of Benin and Togo (10 p.m. Travel).

Austin City Limits: The Dave Matthews Band kicks off the program’s 35th season (11 p.m. KLCS).

Saturday Night Live: Ryan Reynolds hosts with musical guest Lady Gaga (11:29 p.m. NBC).

MOVIES

No Country for Old Men: Four Academy Awards, including best picture, went to Joel and Ethan Coen’s violent and effective 2007 adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s novel. Oscar winner Javier Bardem plays a killer on the trail of cash from a drug transaction gone wrong that has been taken by a rather naive hunter (Josh Brolin). Tommy Lee Jones also stars (6:50 p.m. Starz).

Sex and the City: Four years after the end of the HBO series, columnist Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and close friends Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte (Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis) share new passages in their lives in this 2008 leap to feature films (7:30 p.m. Cinemax).

Doctor Zhivago: Julie Christie stars in director David Lean’s 1965 epic as a tender woman whose passion for her husband (Tom Courtenay) is frustrated by his fanatical participation in the Bolshevik Revolution. Her love affair with the good doctor (Omar Sharif) produces a child, tearing Lara’s loyalties (7:45 p.m. TCM).
