SERIES

The Big Bang Theory: It’s Halloween, and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) gets into the spirit of the holiday by trying to scare his friends. Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco and Simon Helberg also star in the new episode (8 p.m. CBS).

Community: For her psychology class, Britta (Gillian Jacobs) administers anonymous personality tests to her fellow study group members, and the results indicate that one of them is a potential sociopath. She asks Jeff (Joel McHale) to help her find out who that person is via the telling of scary Halloween stories in this new episode (8 p.m. NBC).

The Secret Circle: After talking Cassie (Britt Robertson) into having a Halloween bash, Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) throws herself into putting together the perfect costume in hopes of winning back Jake (Chris Zylka), but the party takes a dangerous turn when some uninvited guests show up in this new episode (9 p.m. KTLA).

Project Runway: Lincoln Center in New York is the setting for the season finale fashion show (9 p.m. Lifetime). The new series “Project Accessory” follows at 10:30 p.m.

Prime Suspect: Jane (Maria Bello) asks Sweeney (Aidan Quinn) for more manpower to assist in her investigation of a young woman’s murder in this new episode (10 p.m. NBC).

Stan Lee’s Superhumans: The unscripted series returns for a new season (10 p.m. History).

Beavis and Butt-head: The raunchy animated series returns (10 p.m. MTV).

Good Vibes: In this new animated comedy, a short, fat and awkward teenager (voice of Josh Gad) and his hot mom move from New Jersey to a California beach community (10:30 p.m. MTV).

MOVIES

The Education of Dee Dee Ricks: This new TV movies tells the story of businesswoman Dee Dee Ricks as she battles breast cancer (8:30 p.m. HBO).

World Series: Game 6: The Texas Rangers visit the St. Louis Cardinals (4:30 p.m. Fox).
