Tom Brokaw and Warren Olney to receive Golden Mike honors

Two of broadcast journalism’s most respected figures, Tom Brokaw and Warren Olney, will be honored at the 62nd annual Golden Mike Awards sponsored by the Radio & Television News Assn. on Saturday.

Former NBC Nightly News anchor Brokaw will receive the Broadcast Legend Award. He is currently a special correspondent for NBC News, and a documentary producer.

Olney, who hosts two radio interview shows, ‘Which Way LA’ and ‘To The Point,’ will receive the Lifetime Achievment Award for his achievements over 20 years on public news stations, locally and internationally.

The ceremony will take place at the Universal Hilton Hotel in Universal City.
