(Dule Hill, left, and James Roday) find adventure as the light-hearted mystery series “Psych” returns with new episodes at 10 p.m. on USA.

SERIES

American Idol: The female semifinalists perform (8 p.m. Fox).

Are You There, Chelsea? Chelsea (Laura Prepon) faces her father’s wrath after the minor league baseball player (Wilmer Valderrama) she has been dating is traded to the Yankees in this new episode (8:30 p.m. NBC).

Suburgatory: While George, Dallas, Sheila and Fred (Jeremy Sisto, Cheryl Hines, Ana Gasteyer, Chris Parnell) are playing croquet, Fred gets the idea that Sheila has the hots for George and encourages him to seduce her. Allie Grant also stars in this new episode (8:30 p.m. ABC).

Criminal Minds:
Rossi (Joe Mantegna) and his colleagues are in Atlanta to investigate a series of murders in which all the victims were women. William Russ and Kathy Baker guest star in this new episode (9 p.m. CBS).

America’s Next Top Model: British Invasion:
This new edition of the series brings former contestants from “Britain’s Next Top Model” into the competition alongside hopefuls from the U.S. Kelly Cutrone joins the judges panel this season, and Kelly Osbourne is the guest judge for the season premiere (9 p.m. KTLA).

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit:
Olivia’s half-brother shows up looking for help when child services threatens to take his kids away in a new episode of the procedural drama (10 p.m. NBC).

Top Chef: Texas:
For their final challenge, the chefs each take over a restaurant and design a four-course meal (10 p.m. Bravo).

Breathless Bride: Dying to Live:

This poignant new special profiles Kirstie Mills, who has cystic fibrosis and desperately needs a lung transplant, yet, unwilling to put her life on hold until she gets one, she and her fiance start planning their wedding (10 p.m. TLC).
