Misty May Treanor may be out of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ because of an achilles tendon tear? And replaced by Reggie Bush fiance and utter dance failure Kim Kardashian (pictured here)?

That’s what the stories out in gossip land are saying. I’m going to have to go into ‘spoiler’ mode soon because I’ll want to watch the West Coast version of the East Coast time zone show tonight without knowing the reality of one of my favorite reality shows.

Kardashian, besides appearing to not work very hard in her short stint, gave a slightly tasteless shoutout to her late father Robert Kardashian ( of O.J. Simpson lawyer fame) because he had died five years ago to the day Kim was being eliminated from Dancing. Yikes.

Last week I think I mentioned my dedicated viewing of reality shows and in particular ‘The Amazing Race (TAR)’ and ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ shows that sometimes have actual athletes on them (or wives of athletes. TAR had NFL wives on one season. They didn’t do so well).

Poor Misty. She wins an Olympic beach volleyball gold medal but can’t make it through dance practice. That leaves Warren Sapp and Maurice Greene to uphold the recent athlete success (Apolo Anton Ohno, Helio Castroneves, Kristi Yamaguchi in succession as winners).

In week two of TAR 13, former NFL football player Ken Greene and his cheated-on former wife Tina finished first in a leg competed in Brazil.

But besides being a former NFL player, Greene was also a college assistant who was fired at Washington State two years ago.

And in a column by Jim Moore of the Seattle Times, Greene doesn’t deny that his wife-cheating ways may have been part of the reason he was fired.

But I wonder if Ken can dance?
