USC quarterback Mark Sanchez is back in the Heisman Trophy discussion after leading USC to a bounce-back victory over Oregon.

Sanchez has completed 66.7% of his passes, but he’s been even more impressive when it comes to winning Pacific 10 Conference offensive-player-of-the-week honors.

Sanchez is now at 75% after earning the recognition on Monday for the third time in four games this season. He has completed 80 of 120 passes for 1,069 yards and 13 touchdowns with three interceptions.

According to USC’s sports information office, Sanchez is one of five players to win the offense award three times in the same season. The others: Tailback Reggie Bush in 2005; quarterback Carson Palmer in 2002, receiver Curtis Conway in 1992; and quarterback Rodney Peete in 1988.
