Last call: Kirk Gibson

Only one thing deserves comment in today’s last call. Twenty years ago Wednesday, Kirk Gibson hit his legendary pinch-hit homer in Game 1 of the World Series. Did you think it would take 20 years for the Dodgers to even sniff the World Series again? Yeah, the Dodgers are down 3-1 to the Phillies, but it’s just nice to be in a position to get anxious about Dodgers games again.
