Whatever happened to Matt Leinart?

You’ll be amazed at what this Arizona Republic story says happened to former USC quarterback Matt Leinart, who also is the Arizona Cardinals’ former starting quarterback.

Of course it’s not meant to be taken seriously, not even the part about working in the convenience store.

But Leinart, after his much-publicized dalliances with Paris Hilton and others, is glad to be out of the spotlight.

‘It’s nice from that aspect, just to be under the radar,’ Leinart said. ‘No one is talking about you, no one really knows what’s going on. It allows me to focus and not really worry about having to deal with the media and all that stuff.

‘It is nice, to be honest with you. But it [attention] is part of the gig, and I know it will be there sooner or later.’
