Last call: Greatest L.A. Lakers of all time?, Steeplechase, and, Vote!

On Friday, I start revealing my choices for the 10 greatest L.A. Lakers of all time. But, I’d like for you guys out there to submit your list of the 10 greatest, ranked in order. I’ll award 12 points for your No. 1 pick, 9 for your No. 2 pick, on down to 1 point for you No. 10 pick. And they have to have played in L.A. (sorry, George Mikan fans). E-mail your picks to houston.mitchell@latimes.com. I received 812 ballots for the all-time L.A. Dodgers fans vote. Can Lakers fans beat that?

This is a quick Last Call today, and in closing, don’t forget to vote tomorrow. Whether you vote for Obama, McCain, Nader, Michael Douglas, Martin Sheen, or whoever, the important thing is to vote (but after you vote for the 10 greatest L.A. Lakers).
