UCLA’s Drake Stadium is the site for tonight’s NCAA Round of 16 women’s soccer match between defending NCAA champion USC and Pacific 10 Conference champion UCLA, and with the football teams having open dates, fans have come out in large numbers.

The crowd appears to number more than 3,000 and is growing. It could set a record for attendance at an NCAA soccer playoff game in the Southland.

UCLA’s Kristina Larsen scored 12 minutes into the match to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead. UCLA (20-0-2) has given up just four goals all season and is 11-0 against USC in Westwood.
