Tour de Lance (Armstrong) Down Under on TV

The Versus network (you know, the one that televises Pac-10 football) announced it is adding the Tour Down Under cycling race to its calendar.

There’s a good reason for that and it’s not Australia’s stunning scenery.

It will be Lance Armstrong’s first comeback race. The race begins Jan. 20 and Versus will have a 30-minute highlight show Jan. 20-24. Telecasts will begin at 1 p.m. PT except for the Jan. 24 telecast which will be at 12:30 PT. Also, on Jan. 24 Versus will stream the final stage of the race on www.versus.com. Then there will be a one-hour highlight show of the final stage on Jan. 25 at 2 p.m. PT.
