The Ducks practiced today at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan, a rink located on the banks of the Hudson River at the spot where the U.S. Airlines plane set down during last week’s emergency water landing.

This is the Ducks ‘Fathers Trip,’ with 14 dads on hand, including Ryan Getzlaf’s dad, Steve, Brendan Mikkelson’s dad, Bill, and George Parros’ dad, Jim.

The fathers were flown to New York for Tuesday’s game against the Rangers and then Wednesday’s game against the Islanders -- all part of the team’s annual push to underscore unity and dedication.
