USC announces spring football dates

With Mark Sanchez off to the NFL, USC’s quarterback derby will begin in earnest on March 28 when the Trojans open spring practice.

Coach Pete Carroll announced the dates of the 15 spring workouts, which will be spread over the course of a month and will conclude with the ‘Trojan Huddle’ scrimmage at the Coliseum.

Practices will be on campus unless noted. All except one, April 11 at the Coliseum, are open to the public, an athletic department spokesman said.

Dates and times are subject to change.

USC’s Pro Day will be April 1. It is closed to the public.
