UCLA gets running back from Virginia

UCLA has added badly needed speed to its team with the signing of running back Damien Thigpen from Manassas, Va., Stonewall Jackson.

Thigpen originally committed to Tennessee. Notre Dame made a late bid for him. He supposedly runs a 4.34 40-yard dash and is 5 feet 9, 170 pounds.
