Atlanta Coach John Anderson, a delightful old-school kind of guy, had some fun at his own expense after the Thrashers defeated the Ducks, 8-4, on Sunday night in Anaheim.

The Thrashers submitted the wrong lineup.

Well, there’s no crying in hockey. Or delete button.

That meant a two-minute bench minor against the Thrashers.

‘That was completely my fault. I circled -- (Zach) Bogosian was right below (Ron) Hainsey -- and I circled without my glasses,’ Anderson said. ‘That was the first time in 14 years I’ve done that. So I fined myself 200 bucks and hugged all of my penalty killers.’

I mentioned that Wayne Gretzky -- who is reported to be earning between $7 million and $8 million per year -- did the same thing in his first game as Coyotes coach, adding Anderson was in good company.

‘There you are ... wish I made as much as him,’ Anderson said.
