When the NCAA announced its tournament field on Sunday, most teams went scrambling for their videotape files, searching for information on an opponent they knew very little about.

Not so with Brigham Young and Texas A&M.

The Cougars and Aggies will face off in the first round for the second year in a row. Last time, it was at the Honda Center in Anaheim. On Thursday, they’ll play at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia.

‘We were like -- again?’ said Texas A&M swingman Josh Carter said.

BYU’s Lee Cummard had a similar response: ‘I was taken a little by surprise.’

UCLA fans might recall the first meeting, if only because after the Aggies won, 67-62, they lost in the second round to the Bruins.

Texas A&M coach Mark Turgeon kind of likes the idea of a rematch because ‘it’s made scouting just a little bit easier.’

‘It was a great game last year, back and forth,’ he said. ‘I think 10 or 11 lead changes ... so it should be another great game this year.’
