If you’d like to get a listen to Eric Collins, who was announced as the new Dodgers part-time television announcer Saturday, tune into ESPN2’s Sunday coverage of the NCAA women’s basketball tournament. There’s no guarantee you’ll hear Collins unless either of the games is good enough to warrant being sent to the West Coast feed, but there might be a chance.

Collins will be announcing the Notre Dame-Minnesota and Texas A&M-Evansville games from South Bend. Collins got the Dodgers job Saturday. His first series on television with the Dodgers will be in Houston April 21-23. Collins did two audition games during spring training, as did several other candidates -- Josh Suchon and Ken Levine, who host DodgerTalk for KABC radio; Ben Wagner, who does Buffalo Bisons baseball radio; Tom Hart, who works for the CBS Sports College Network; and Joe Block, who is serving as radio studio host for the New Orleans Hornets and who formerly announced games for a Dodgers minor league affiliate, the Jacksonville Suns.
