Dodgers “will welcome Manny back upon his return”

Los Angeles Dodgers CEO Jamie McCourt issued the following statement after star slugger Manny Ramirez was suspended 50 games for using a banned substance:

‘We share the disappointment felt by our fans, our players, and every member of our organization. We support the policies of Major League Baseball, and we will welcome Manny back upon his return.’

Dodgers skipper Joe Torre will meet with the media later this afternoon. One of the people in that room should be a very angry Bill Plaschke.
