Stanton Barrett, a Hollywood stuntman in TV and movies and a NASCAR veteran, is being replaced by driver Jacques Lazier for the Indy Racing League IndyCar Series race at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend. Barrett, who failed to qualify for the 33-car field for the Indianapolis 500 in the Team 3G car, is expected to return to the IndyCar Series before the season is over.

Joey Logano, driver of the No. 18 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and Boris Said, a NASCAR road-course specialist, will be entered in the Camping World Series West race at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma on June 20. The Cup Series is also racing in Sonoma that weekend.

Shaquille O’Neal will be the grand marshal and ride in the pace car for this weekend’s IndyCar Series race at Texas. He challenged Danica Patrick to a race last week. When they make an Indy car big enough for Shaq, it’s certain that race will take place.
