Sparks will utilize same lineup tonight against Storm

The Sparks will have the following lineup against the Seattle Storm, when they tip off in about 20 minutes:
Center - DeLisha Milton-Jones
Forward - Tina Thompson

Forward - Marie Ferdinand-Harris

Guard - Betty Lennox

Guard - Kristi Harrower

This was the same lineup the Sparks utilized in their 69-67 loss Friday to Seattle. Since center Lisa Leslie went down with a right knee sprain June 19 against Phoenix, Sparks Coach Michael Cooper fielded a few other combinations to fill her place. Center Vanessa Hayden started at center and scored 12 points in a 67-47 win against the Monarchs, but Cooper made another switch Friday.

‘I just don’t want all three of our bigs at one time getting fouls,’ Cooper said. ‘Then you really have to disperse them throughout the game. If you put those two out there, they can hold their own. That’ll make it difficult to guard too, and then we’ll come with Vanessa who’s a bigger big who’s fresh with no fouls. Then we can distribute those fouls throughout the game.’
