Matt Barkley and Mitch Mustain look good in USC scrimmage

USC scrimmaged for the first time and freshman quarterback Matt Barkley got the brunt of the work on a day when junior quarterback Mitch Mustain also impressed.

Barkley completed 10 of 17 passes for 120 yards and a touchdown with one interception. He also rushed for a touchdown.

Mustain, limited to play with the second and third units, completed 14 of 16 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown.

Injured quarterback Aaron Corp, who entered training camp No. 1 on the depth chart,was put through a series of exercises to test his injured left leg and continues to progress toward a return.
