Nick Joanides wins NASCAR Super Late Model race, $5,000 and set of springs at Irwindale

Nick Joanides of Woodland Hills capped a championship season at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale by winning the NASCAR Super Late Model 100-lap race Saturday night. Joanides, who recently won the Super Late Model championship at the track, won $5,000 and a set of Eibach Springs. It was the season-ending race for the Super Late Model drivers.

Joanides won 14 Super Late Model races at Irwindale this year. He was the winner or runner-up in 21 of 22 Super Late Model races at the track this year. He also won the NASCAR Whelen All-American California State championship and was third in the NASCAR Whelen All-American national standings.

Joanides is the leader in the NASCAR Late Model standings at the track. He has a 34-point lead over Tim Huddleston of Agoura Hills, the reigning Late Model champion at Irwindale.
