Sea The Stars wins Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe

Forget Rachel Alexandra. The best racehorse in the world is the 3-year-old Sea The Stars, who won racing’s most prestigious race in Europe on Sunday, the Prix de I’Arc de Triomphe in France, his sixth consecutive Group I victory.

In winning the 1 1/2-mile race on the turf at Longchamp, Sea The Stars enhanced his reputation as one of the greatest horses from Europe, earning comparisons to English Triple Crown winner Nijinsky.

Now the big question is whether Sea The Stars will be coming to America to compete in the Breeders’ Cup Classic on Nov. 7 at Santa Anita.
