The Clippers, who lost their preseason opener on Sunday at Golden Sate to the Warriors, got some bodies back in practice on today at Playa Vista.

Returning to action were Marcus Camby, backup point guard Sebastian Telfair and free agent Taj Gray. No. 1 draft pick Blake Griffin (left knee) still has not been cleared for contact. That should happen either Tuesday or Wednesday, and the Clippers said his recovery is on schedule.

He could play, if all goes well, in the next preseason game on Friday against Portland.

Griffin’s running mate, teammate DeAndre Jordan, who came off the bench and had 22 points and 10 rebounds against the Warriors, reported that the rookie’s frustration has been building. It’s been hard for Griffin to sit out and watch the others scrimmage.

‘It’s so funny,’ Jordan said. ‘He’s just watching. It’s like his mom told him he can’t go outside and play with everyone else.’
