Ducks recall Brett Festerling, Dan Sexton, Brendan Mikkelson and Timo Pielmeier

The Anaheim Ducks recalled defensemen Brett Festerling and Brendan Mikkelson from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, right wing Dan Sexton from the Manitoba Moose, also of the AHL, and goaltender Timo Pielmeier from the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL.

Festerling, who was called up from Toronto on Dec. 2 and reassigned on Feb. 15, appeared in 30 games for the Ducks this season and has three assists. Mikkelson has appeared in 22 games for Anaheim and has two assists.

Sexton, first called up from Manitoba on Dec. 4, had immediate success and has nine goals and 18 points in 28 games for the Ducks.

Pielmeier, who is in his rookie season, has played in 42 games for Bakersfield, posting a 20-16-5 record with a 3.09 goals-against average and .886 save percentage. He currently co-leads the ECHL in wins and ranks fourth among all rookies in GAA.
