It took a while, but offensive lineman Seantrel Henderson finally signed a national letter of intent to attend USC.

Henderson, regarded by many as the top prospect nationally in the 2010 recruiting class, signed during a ceremony at Cretin-Derham Hall High School in St. Paul, Minn.

USC has been waiting for Henderson to sign since he announced on Feb. 3 that he would join the Trojans.

Henderson’s father, however, said that night that his son would not sign until after USC went before the NCAA’s infractions committee. USC appeared before the committee a few weeks later and is awaiting word regarding possible sanctions.

The 6-foot-8, 330-pound Henderson is scheduled to enroll in June.
